Salute to Shari Rudavsky, Indianapolis Star
On page 328 of Sex and Your Heart Health, we quote Dr. Stephen Bogdewic, Professor of Family Medicine at Indiana University School of Medicine. "There's plenty of evidence that human sexuality, intimacy, love, and marriage are very, very good for our health."
This quotation is such a wonderful one that we have seen it published in several places. Although Dr. Bogdewic e-mailed Maryellen permission to use it in our book, we want to acknowledge that the quotation originally appeared in a Valentine's Day column on 2/14/05, written by Shari Rudavsky of the Indianapolis Star. Shari's wonderful article concluded with another great quotation, "If sex in general is good for you," said Bogdewic, a family marital therapist, "then sex with love is even better."

Praise for Stephen Post, Ph.D., of Case Western Reserve University
On page 331 and 332 of Sex and Your Heart Health, we include a telephone interview with Dr. Stephen Post, Professor of Bioethics at Case Medical School. At the time we wrote our book, Dr. Post's upcoming book with Jill Neimark was identified as It's Good to Be Good. The title was changed prior to publication to Why Good Things Happen to Good People. It is published by Random House and available on Amazon. This book is definitely worth reading.

Cut, Color, & Counsel
Last month, a wonderful program called Cut, Color, & Counsel was introduced to Springfield, Missouri. The program was the brilliant brainchild of Dr. Jennifer Baker, head of Marriage and Family Therapy at Forest Institute of Psychology. This program, part of the Operation Us healthy marriage initiative, provided helpful information to hairdressers, who frequently hear their clients' relationship woes. The response was so positive that another session is planned for the future.
